Working hard means to give it your all whether your practicing or in a game you always give 100%. I know this because in my middle school games I gave it my all and even if my shots were not going in I would make it up on defense and find anyway to contribute to my team as much as possible. So keep working hard and never let anything get in your way.
This was my first Middle School game of the season as an 8th grader and they were definitely some surprises that came along with this. For example, last year I was a starter and basically played the whole game but this time I didn’t start for the first time in my life. It was heartbreaking to see myself on the bench for the first time throughout my middle school career. But I had to prove to my coach that I should be a starter so as soon as I got in on the court I started going to work and playing my game and by the next game I was a starter. I needed to prove my coach wrong to show him that he made a mistake and that is what I did. This is a pure example of how you should not let people get in your way and you should prove them wrong and each opportunity you get you need to make it count.
